Bloggy Book Club Update Part Deux! -
Hi again,
Just a quick update for you all, we have a few more members @JoCopner @Robin_Kemp @AllAboutTheJovi
So Hi to you all, “Waves, like idiot
“
And there has been lots of #bloggybookclub hash tag action on twitter.
The new and my fave trend is to twit pic your book where your reading it, we have had some rather stylish entries from @allaboutheboys and @sjspence010 and I’d love some more!
Also we have been discussing our dislike for Marina, is she evil or just a bit damaged? well, she certainly makes for an interesting character either way.
And just aquick re-cap for those wanting to join, we are currently reading Playing with the grownups by Sophie Dahl and we will be reading it till the end of this month. Then its onto @allaboutheboys choice of Under the skin by Michel Faber. Come join us, the more the merrier!
)
Okay well, that’s it for now, cant wait for you all to Finish ;D xxxxx

Lovely Cara had a suggestion that it might be good to have a book list for the next couple of books so we all have chance to raid the book shop or library. I have asked the club’s first 2 members @allaboutheboys and @soriko to come up with their choices.
They both look like really fabby and totally different books and I really can’t wait! That’s the surprisingly good thing about doing something like this, you get to read books you may never have tried.
I have decided to nick name the club “the pick and mix” book club and there is to be no limits on what one you choose, just as long as it something your passionate about we’d all love to read it!
Blimey…. hope I’m not going on to much, really… I am just excited about it (can you tell? ;0))
Anyway this is the list -
This moths book is Sophie Dahl’s Playing with the grown ups see my review and get an idea what its about here
We will meet up back here on the 30th (august) to “talk” about it. Whoop! Oh, and we can always tweet as we read too.
Next is Under the skin by Michel Faber. Recommended by @allaboutheboys, she says “ Its a fantastic book ! Well I thought so xx” and you can find out a bit about it here . Looks like a brilliant original read Karen, thank you. Can’t wait!
After that we have The Eyre Affair by Jasper Fforde. Recommended by @soriko, she says “It’s quirky, fun and ingenious & like nothing I’d read before!” it certainly looks like a fab ride of a read and will be a great contrast to the Michel Faber one.
Thank You both for coming up with such great, diverse choice’s on such short notice ladies!
I think that covers everything, sorry for going on, if I did
I am looking forward to seeing you all back here on the 30th then. Whoop!
Oh P.s I am not getting paid by Amazon or owt just used their links to help you see a bit more about the books. They are also available at all good book shops and libraries ;D

Lovely to have you all
This is the concept….
Every 3 weeks, one of us (in turn) gets the chance to choose the book. I will email you in plenty of time to let you know its coming up to your turn.
For those of us who blog we can put up the new book prompt there, for those that don’t, you can have a cozy little guest post here. I was thinking we’d have three weeks to read the book then one week to get the new one? Let me know if you think that is enough or to much time.
We can use the comments box of the guest host’s blog to talk about how fab (or not) a book was and generally enjoy a good read together.
I know I have been itching to get back into the reading habit. Since Milly was born, apart from the lovely Sophie Dahl book which is our first book club read, I think I have read Dora’s adventures in moon land (about 20 times) and Toddler taming guide for beginners (I have 3 kids and still not got the hang of it ;0) ) So I am ready to start flexing my brain cells again! (those which are left anyway!)
The first bloggy book club book is “playing with the grown-ups” by Sophie Dahl, you can read all about it here, its a really brilliant read! I will happily be reading it again with you.
I think its going to be great fun, I cant wait to see which books you all choose!
If you would like to join ( Go on! You know you want too! *wink* ) just leave me a tweet or comment here.
Can’t wait to get started. Just make sure you tweet or comment me when you have your copy of the book and we can all get reading together !

What a great idea, but I don’t have the time whilst the mini’s are off school – boohoo. may in the Autumn
Thankku fabby Mads!
Xxxxx
We will be glad to have u in the autumn, would love to see what you’d choose
@TheMadHouse ah but it does children a world of good to see mum engrossed in a book. And I doubt the Sophie Dahl one will be a great stretch to read!
I’m tempted but already belong to a real life book group so not sure I could fit more in. Hmmmm, off to have a think (and will probably be back to join…).
Thanx Deb,
) Xxxx
Really hope you find the time to join us! (and the Sophie Dahl one is a surprising treat, even if you don’t get chance to join, i highly recommend
Ooooh, I belong to a RL book club but this sounds fun, any room for dads?
Alex We would love to have you! should be good fun to see what books come up
X
What a great idea…unfortunately my book reading is haphazard at the moment. :0S
Aw I do know what you mean Nova, I am trying to just do a few pages a night, it soon adds up. If you change your mind, we’d love to have u Xxxx
I’m really excited about the book and truly honored to be part of the bloggy book club! I’m still waiting for my copy…
I have a date with a beach blanket and a tall glass of something frosty today. Wish my book would come soon!
Have a great weekend. xxoxRichela
My book still hasn’t arrived. I need to start reading as twins now off school. I will find time on the loo, (door locked), in bed (under the covers) and in the kitchen (well you know Helen no work goes on in there ) ! xxx
hehehe! Karen you do make me giggle, I recon its all an act and your actually Delia Smith in disguise!
Xxxxxx
No worries about your book, lots of peps not got theirs yet either, we would never start with out you
Sounds cool, but can I dip in and out. I want to try and read more but not always easy with little ones x
oh definitely! i am the same:0) no pressure, just lovely to have u on board!
i would also love to be involved as i need to start reading again rather than watching crap tv.
i might also have to dip in and out depending on time, i don’t know whether it would be possible to give 2 weeks to get the new book?
coolio
M2M
Thanku Henrietta,
and no worries, dip in and out as much as you like!
It will be great to have you
I think you maybe right, judging on how long it takes to find and order a new book, 2 weeks may be a better plan. I will revise this post later with that suggestion XXXX
I may regret this seeing as I am still not half way through 2 books I started in February, but I have just ordered my copy! Free supersaver delivery mind as I wont pay postage so bear with me
xx
r u on twitter? is there a #bloggybookclub yet?
This sounds like fun! Can I join? @soriko gave me the heads up.
If I can get the Sophie Dahl one at the library tomorrow, I’m in! If not, I’ll be in later. ^_^
I’m in………………. v exciting!
Wow everyone! i am amazed at the response to this club
I think its going to be great, a chance to read some fab books and also make some new friends
Can’t wait Xxxxx
would love to join in. Will get the book this week. very excited!
