This week me and Milly got sent the Fun Factory play set from Play-Doh.
Its been a long time since I played with the stuff and when I opened the box with the little round tubs of brightly coloured squidgy loveliness I got a familiar feeling.
I think its the smell, play-doh conjures up memories of friends and bright shinny toys and mini bottles of ice cold milk drank from long straws in the classroom. It smells like school, but not horrible scary secondary school with bitchy girls and *boys!*. More cosy cuddly primary school with crayons and climbing frames and …Play-doh!
After I had sat breathing in the familiar smell of warm childhood for a few minutes, with some very strange looks from Milly (mums weird written all over her face) we started to play.
The kit is cool, you squash the play-doh in one end and depending on the shape you choose on the little dial it comes squidging out a hole at the other.
Milly thought this was hilarious! and even managed to work the handle with some serious concentration…see pic below

Me too Karen, its strange that a smell can make u happy… maybe play doh perfume in the making? …or maybe that would be just to far! ;D
Oh we love Play-Doh too! I have to play with them though, just to make sure that they’re doing it properly ; )

Play-doh never gets old. My supposedly too-cool-for-”baby”-toys daughter will sit and sculpt for hours with that stuff.
I’m glad that Milly now knows another happy smell!

Its totally fab stuff Richela isn’t it?, just at the mo, its a rain sunday arvo….I have 3 boys aged 6, 8 and 10 and Milly (aged 19 months;) all playing together with it.
