My Photo Meme

This one is from Susan over at SusanKMann ( Lovely lady with a great blog, go check it out, well not now… because your reading mine.

But  in a bit when you’ve finished and the kids are not screaming for their tea…what? oh, thats just me.? ok then…. )

Anyhow these are da Rules:

1. Open your first (oldest) photo folder in your computer library ( Oh eek….scary, god only knows what I will find, but ok…)
2. Scroll to the 10th photo (again … scary, have had some pretty tragic fashion moments you know…)
3. Post the photo and the story behind it (oh good  its of Ellie, she will be mortified but she hardly ever reads my blog…bonus!  )
4. Tag 5 or more people to continue the thread (easy;D)

Let the fun commence!

This is a picture of my then pre- teen Eliie and her 2 mates, (Ellie is in the middle) taken 2 years ago on her twelfth birthday.

They were all very excited because I’d arranged a party for her and 12 of her mates at the local Chinese restaurant. The best part for her being, that no grown ups were aloud and that her new (first ever!) boyfriend was going, ohhhh… the excitement!

The 3 of them got themselves ready at ours, where there was  lots of giggling and shouting  followed by allot of  “you look great…”  “no you do”….”no you do!!! “  from the girls until they finally left for the restaurant.

I worried the whole time they were there but I had promised to stay back and the owner of the restaurant  had my number if any trouble broke out.

Ellie got a lift home a few hours later and she came through the door a little down mouthed. When I asked her if everything was ok she burst into tears and explained that doing grown up things wasn’t quite was she expected. Apparently her “lovely” boyfriend had spent the entire night making fart noises and blowing special fried rice at her through a rather spitty straw and they almost got thrown out when another couple of her mates started a mini food fight.

To add insult to injury Ellie, who has always looked a lot older than her years was mistaken for the grown up in the group and given a glass of wine. Now I probably would have been chuffed to bits, but Ellie was devastated to think that the old Chinese waiter had mistaken her for one of their mums… he he! ;D

I pass this lovely Photo meme onto -
